The recently introduced version of Hyundai Sonata, Sonata Transform, has made its entry in the Indian car market with a big bang.

Sonata Transform is designed with style and sophistication. In the interiors, this new car is designed with futuristic features including the impressive dials, convenient cup holders, blue LED illuminated instrumentation, cluster with trip computer, power windows, centre armrest, glove box, 2-DIN MP3 car audio with USB and auxiliary input, 8 way power adjustable driver's seat, audio hand remote, rear reading lights, audio controls on the steering, and dual zone fully automatic temperature control system.
Engine
The Sonata Transform is available in three variants, one petrol version and two diesel version. The petrol variant is propelled by an advanced 2.4L Theta II engine that generates 174 bhp. This high-end engine technology delivers robust acceleration and This engine is mated to dual VTVT mechanism and 5-speed manual transmission to improve drivability, fuel efficiency, and performance. Dual VTVT is a mechanism that involves variable valve timing for exhaust as well as intake. This mechanism in association with the efficient engine helps reduce emissions.
The diesel variant is powered by a 2.0L Common Rail engine (CRDi) mated to Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT). This engine generates 149 bhp of power, delivering improved performance and enhanced fuel efficiency. Diesel variant is available in a choice of 6-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed H-Matic transmission. H-Matic transmission offers an option to switch between the auto and sports mode.
